There are many things that you, Mr. Meyers has done to make 10th grade Chemistry a lot easier for the average student.
1) One of my favorite things in class, were the clickers. The clickers were helpful to show our progress on how we're understanding the material. The clickers also helped us understand how we did on our tests, so we didn't have to wait weeks to get results back. (Unlike for other classes!) Even if we don't use clickers, you're always quick to hand back our grades. Also reguarding grades, it's really helpful when our grades are put in the back of the room. It's great to be able to keep up with our current grade.
Another helpful thing is the way homework is set up. It's increadibly helpful to know at the beginning of the week, what homework is due by Friday. It helps me plan out my schedule more, and I feel prepared when I'm aware of the homework that will be due by the end of the week. Thanks for that!
2) Pogils were very hard for me to do. Most of the time we have to finish the packet on new material, and learn by ourselves. If my table partners nor I have no previous experience learning the material, it's hard for us to complete the packet successfully. Even if we try our hardest, it's more likely to get a bad grade.
3) If there were anything to aprove upon it would be the possibility to have partner quizzes. In other classes, we have partner quizzes, and we are paired up with others in the class (by the teacher). I find these really helpful because not only to I understand more, but it helps me not be as 'iffy' or nervous about a quiz.
